Tamang Heritage & Langtang Valley Trek

The Tamang Heritage trek is one of the newly opened treks which combine an enchanting journey where you can enjoy the magnificent mountain views with the insight into the unique Tamang culture, alpine terrain, green meadows and rhododendron forests. Trekking through Tamang village gives you a wonderful opportunity to closely observe the community’s lifestyle, culture and crafts such as bamboo baskets and mats. Tamang Heritage trek presents the dramatic views of Langtang Lirung (7245m), Langtang Kerung, Chumse Danda ridge (5122m), Dorje Lakpa (6989m), Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Manaslu and Sanjen Himal ranges. Glaciers of varying sizes and high altitude lakes namely Gosiakunda, Pravatikuda, Bhairavkunda and Dudhkunda are found along the Tamang Heritage trek.

After the Tamang Heritage trek we head out for Langtang valley trek. It is a famous trekking zone in Nepal and is situated in a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. The Langtang valley is aptly called ‘the valley of glaciers’ where high mountains soar towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rocky and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild animals. The sights also include Tamang villages, Buddhist monasteries, a cheese factory, yaks, glaciers and mountain lakes, making this trek an exciting and unforgettable one
